About the Event
Elon Musk's acquisition of Twitter promises to shake up not only Twitter but the whole social media industry. Join our panel to discuss the implications for freedom of speech and expression.
Our panel will consist of:
- Professor James Allan (Garrick Professor in Law at UQ and a writer and commentator for The Australian, The Spectator, and Quadrant, and author of 'Democracy in Decline')
- Mr Wai Kiong Chan (Chairman of International Circle, Chairman of the Nordic Forum of Australia and CEO of Paradigm Infinitum)
- Ms Shona Leppanen-Gibson (General Manager of Australian Leadership Skills Centre, Co-Founder of New Media and the Informed Citizen, and President AMBCQ)
Dinner will be served along with our complimentary punch. Other beverages are available - first drink from the bar is complimentary and additional drinks may be purchased from the bar.
Time: 6.00 pm arrival for 6.15 pm sharp start

Dress: Cocktail or Evening Dress for Ladies. Black Tie for Gentlemen (dinner suit, dinner shirt, black bow tie, cummerbund) with full decorations (medals etc). If this is not possible please wear a black suit and white shirt (we have black ties for loan at the front desk).
