About the Event
Celebrate Christmas at Queensland Parliament with an evening of traditional Christmas dinner, Imperial-era cocktails, fabulous entertainment, our annual strategic issues discussion forum, and our ancient rites and rituals. The 2021 Christmas Ball at Queensland Parliament will once again be hosted by the AMBCQ in association with the Nordic Forum of Australia, and the International Circle. Regular attendees at the Ball include elected representatives, senators and MPs, diplomats, community leaders, senior government officials, and business leaders.
Apart from a selection of beers, wines, soft drinks and port, a special range of traditional cocktails from the Raj and Imperial-era will be served including Gin Pahit, Horse's Neck, Gin and Tonic, Whisky Stengah and our signature drinks The Swamp and the oldest known punch - Captain Radcliffe's Punch from the year 1680.
Tickets will be limited so book your place early to avoid disappointment. Please note dress code is formal white tie/tailcoat and ball gown, or if this is not possible then semi-formal black tie (black dinner suit, white dinner shirt, black bowtie, black cummerbund), or alternatively, formal highland dress, formal academic dress or mess dress. Full decorations (medals etc) are to be worn. It is a real treat to see all our friends resplendent in their attire, so attendees are encouraged to embrace the dress code.
