About the Event
What can the worlds of Jim Henson teach us about imagination, creativity and living well?
Join us for a special Queensland Mental Health Month event that combines art, storytelling, reflection and community through the magical worlds of the Muppets, Labyrinth, The Dark Crystal and beyond.
The morning will commence with a brief and thought-provoking presentation by Shona Leppanen-Gibson, attache and ambassador with the Mental Health Foundation Australia, exploring the important role imagination and make-believe can play in fostering wellbeing, connection and resilience throughout our lives.
Guests will then enjoy a group visit to QAGOMA's acclaimed exhibition Make, Believe, Magic: The Worlds of The Jim Henson Company, followed by a hosted picnic lunch in the Gallery grounds.
Come prepared to rediscover wonder, share great company, and experience the enduring power of imagination.
